Ryan Pederson
Assistant Teaching Professional

Ryan Pederson grew up in the town of Kiester, located in southern Minnesota. Golf has always been in his life, with his dad starting him in the sport at the age of 3. Ryan accomplished being the Minnesota Junior PGA Beginners Golf Champion at 12 years old at a young age. He continued his passion for golf becoming a Minnesota State High School League Class A Champion in 2015.

 

Graduating from United South Central in Wells, MN in 2016. He went to play golf at St. Cloud State University while pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering. After one year he decided he wasn’t quite done with golf and continued his golf career transferring to Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, WI. This is where Pederson studied Golf Course Management and too played for their golf team. Graduating in 2019 with an Associate Degree in Golf Course Management.

 

Ryan has been with Grand View Lodge for 4 seasons now. He is now the Assistant Golf Professional at the Preserve.  With this said, Ryan spends most of his time teaching at The Preserve. He loves how beautiful the Brainerd area is and how phenomenal the golf courses are here at GVL. His main goal in teaching golf is to accomplish the student’s goal. He has had the opportunity to teach junior camps, lady clinics, private juniors, and private adults. Most of all Ryan looks forward to helping others achieve their golf goals meanwhile forming a relationship.
